Don Pepe Estate is a family-owned farm that, since 1898, has been exclusively dedicated to coffee cultivation. They claim to be the first company to specialize in coffee production in the Republic of Panama.Mill utilizes the fully washed, honey and natural coffee process. Our raised drying beds (African Beds) provide optimal drying points that allow us to store the coffee beans based on variety and harvest date.Once the coffee varieties have been steeped in our storage facilities, we begin with the classifying process to optimize the quality per variety. The process follows strict procedures that will only result in the finest coffee cup profiles for our clients. As a result, our finest cups include notes and flavors of raspberry, apricot, peach, walnuts, green apple, infused with silky creamy bodies and very aromatic citrus scents.

 

CATUAI

Main characteristic of sowing: from 1,500 to 2,000 meters in height.

It is a high yield plant, resulting from a cross between the Mundo Novo and Caturra varieties. The fruit does not fall off the branch easily, which is favorable in areas of heavy rains. It is a very vigorous variety, of small size, that develops a lot of lateral growth.

 

CATURRA

Main characteristic of sowing: from 1,500 to 1,800 meters in height.

This variety, of high production and good quality, is characterized for being a coffee with a lot of character, with a sweet and particularly charming aroma; and certain shades of dark chocolate. It is a coffee of small size, compact and very thin, resistant to the wind. It was discovered in Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century.
