Costa Rica Cascara

The name Cascara translates from Spanish as  “husk??? or “peel.???

Cascara is the husk and fruit of the coffee cherry which is removed before the beans are processed for coffee and dried.

These coffee cherries sit out under the sun to dry during natural processing. As the husks and beans separate, they are collected, sorted, and used for a variety of purposes.

The fruit tea tastes sweet like honey, with nice acidity, and has distinct bright and fruity notes.

Cascara has a caffeine content somewhere between tea and coffee
