Trip notes

Nuevo Sendero

"New Path", a cooperative in Santa Rosa. Mr. Donis and his family are three generations of coffee producers, still working on their farms.

J. Hill, Santa Ana

One of El Salvador's leading coffee exporters, with a licensing agreement with World Coffee Research. Many new rust-resistant, climate-friendly arabica varieties are being developed in its nurseries.

Antigua

A colonial city 50 km from Guatemala City and a UNESCO World Heritage site, surrounded by farms producing world-class coffee.
