The Montreal warehouse

We bought this warehouse in 2021 and have run it ourselves ever since. Over a hundred coffees sit on the floor at any one time.

Roasters buy the bags they need instead of financing a container.

The center aisle of the Montreal warehouse leading to the loading dock, pallets of jute coffee bags stacked on both sides.
Down the center aisle to the dock. The near bags landed from Nicaragua with Ken Gabbay already stencilled on the burlap.
A wide view across the warehouse floor, wrapped pallets and stacked jute bags on both sides and an electric pallet jack parked in the middle.
Lots wait wrapped on their pallets until a roaster calls them off.
An elevated view over the warehouse floor, dozens of pallets of jute coffee bags, each stack carrying its own lot tag.
Every stack carries a lot tag, which is how a single bag traces back to its landing.
An aisle of the Montreal warehouse, wrapped pallets of green coffee in the foreground and jute bags stacked high behind them.
Coffee stays under wrap until a roaster orders, then leaves by the bag instead of by the container.
A long single row of wrapped pallets running down the warehouse floor, Brazilian jute bags visible on the nearest pallets.
Eighteen origins share one floor, each lot kept on its own pallet.

Bags land at 50 to 70 kilos depending on origin, so the floor moves on forklifts.
