Our Producers

CAC OROVERDE

“We are a cooperative that works with a human sense, founded on December 7, 1999 by 56 coffee producers based in the province of Lamas, in the San Martín Region, since then we have worked hard on economic, social and environmental growth. We work under the Just (Fair Trade) and Organic trade philosophy for both the European Union (EU), the United States of North America (NOP / USDA), Canada (COR), Biossuise and Symbol of Small Producers (SPP). We are unique because we have managed to unite two Andean and Amazonian cultures and we are made up of 70% of the Lamista Chanca ethnic group and 30% migrants, this union makes us strong, with a rich cultural diversity and traditions in the cultivation of coffee and cocoa. Since 2010 we have been working on a socio-environmental project under the concept of producing happy with carbon footprint (Free CO2), this project we have called Safe Retirement, with 4 reforestation models, Linderos, Agroforestry, Mascizo and Silvopastoral. As for the social base to date we are 1546 producers distributed in 4 provinces of the San Martín region organized in 67 Committees”.
