Notes de voyage

Fedecocagua

Guatemala's second largest coffee exporter and the voice of small producers, exporting Fairtrade, organic, Rainforest and UTZ certified coffees around the world.

Finca La Azotea

Originally a farm growing the cochineal insect used for red dye. In 1883 doña Dominga Mont bought the plantation and her son-in-law, don Marcelo Orive, turned it to coffee. His descendants still run the plantation and mill, and in 2000 opened part of it as a museum.

Antigua

A colonial city founded by the Spanish in the 16th century and once the capital of the Kingdom of Spain in Central America. Today it is one of the most popular sites in Central America, and a big name in coffee.
